WINDIES CRASH OUT OF WORLD CUP

Having managed to get into the semifinals of the ongoing women’s world cup, the Windies women faced off with Australia in semi final one, on Tuesday 30 th June. Australia won the toss and send the Windies into bat. There was an initial shock as star player, Deandre Dottin collapsed during the national anthems, but she sufficiently recovered to play a bit of a cameo

toward the end of the innings. The Windies team could only manage a below par 125 for 7: Matthews top scored with 30 and Dottingot 26 not out The Australia women made light work of the target, getting to 127 for 2 in just 13 overs: Beth Mooney led the way with 61 not out Australia women won by 8 wickets and marched into the finals.
