ST. GEORGE’S DETHRONES ST. JOHN’S

The Nevis Athletic stadium was the venue for real

excitement on Sunday 26 th April.

On that date, the A1 Farms 3 rd annual Parish relays

festival, was held.

The action commenced with an impressive match

past, led by the St. John’s -, the defending

champions of the two previous meets.

A brief opening ceremony was held, ably chaired by

education officer Mrs. Terez Dore.

Then the athletes took to the track and the fair-sized

crowd was thoroughly entertained, as they

competed in such events as 4X200, 4x800, 4x100

and 4x400 meters.

At the end of the meet, St. George’s had gone clear

of defending champions, St. John’s to take the

honours this year.

TWO NEVISIANS IN SKN UNDER 14 GIRLS’ TEAM

The St Kitts and Nevis U-14 girls football team is

presently in St Martin participating in a football

series. The girls won their first game 2-1

The Department of Sports, Nevis, congratulates the

St. Kitts and Nevis Under-14 Girls team as they

compete in the series of friendly tournament

matches in Saint Martin.

Special commendation is extended to Nevisian

players Rone Isles and Zyan France on their

selection to the national team. Their achievement

highlights the growing talent emerging from Nevis

and serves as an inspiration to young athletes

across the island.
