MOE ADVISES PUBLIC TO DISREGARD FALSEINFORMATION CIRCULATING ONLINE

Basseterre: St. Kitts: A graphic currently circulating on social media

claiming that the Cell Phone Policy in Schools has been cancelled is false. It did not originate

with the Ministry of Education.

The Ministry states empathetically that there has been no change to the cell phone policy that

was highlighted at the start of this current school term. The Ministry further emphasizes that it

stands firmly by the existing Cell Phone Policy, which remains in full effect. As such, the

information presented in the circulated image is fake.

The Ministry of Education remains committed to providing reliable information through official

communication channels, such as its Facebook page, SKN Education Media Unit – EMU, its

website, education.gov.kn, sknis.kn, or their Facebook page, St. Kitts and Nevis Information

Service – SKNIS, or any other media house that posts Original Ministry Page Content. We

encourage all stakeholders to rely solely on these platforms for confirmed information.

Thank you for your cooperation.
