KASUN RAJITHA TO JOIN KENT FOR COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP STINT

The Brown Hill Cricket Club is proud to announce

that club captain Colin “KZ” Archibald will represent

Knowle Cricket Club in Bristol, England, for the

upcoming West of England Premier League (WEPL)

season. Archibald will compete in both league and

cup competitions, marking another significant

milestone in his cricketing career.

Archibald’s primary objective is straightforward: to

contribute to Knowle CC’s success with both bat and

ball. While he has set himself a personal milestone

of scoring his first century in English conditions, a

feat he has yet to achieve, he is quick to emphasize

that team performance remains his top priority.

“As an overseas player, the onus is always on you to

perform and deliver for the team,” said Archibald.

“I’ve always looked upon myself as someone who

steps up in those situations, and I’m genuinely

looking forward to that challenge in England.”

Beyond the cricket itself, Archibald views this posting

as a significant step in his personal and professional

development. Adapting to the unique conditions of

English cricket, expanding his network within the

global cricketing community, and broadening his

horizons as both a player and a coach are all central

to his ambitions for the season.

Archibald will serve a dual role at Knowle CC,

contributing as both a player and a coach. Should

additional opportunities arise, he has expressed a

keen willingness to embrace them. His versatility

and leadership qualities make him an asset both on

and off the pitch.

Archibald noted that his preparation for the season

included participation in the Leeward Islands senior

men’s trials, two-day cricket in Antigua, and

domestic 40-over cricket in Nevis. Regular club

training with Brown Hill CC has also kept him sharp

ahead of his departure.

Brown Hill Cricket Club wishes Colin all the very best

and will be following his progress closely throughout

the West of England Premier League season.
