(CPL) 2026 OFFICIAL SCHEDULE
Trinbago Knight Riders Open CPL 2026 Title
Defence in St Vincent Against St Kitts & Nevis
The Trinbago Knight Riders will begin their defence
of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League title
on August 8 against the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in a
historic opening fixture in St Vincent.
The CPL officially unveiled its 2026 schedule on
Tuesday, confirming a 39-match tournament running
from August 7 to September 20, with seven teams
competing for the first time in the competition’s
history.
Reigning champions the Knight Riders will start their
campaign away from home, facing the Patriots
before travelling to Jamaica to meet the Kingsmen
on August 15, and then Antigua to take on the
Falcons on August 22.
Their home campaign in Trinidad begins on August
26 against the Saint Lucia Kings. The Knight Riders
will then host the Barbados Royals on August 28,
Jamaica Kingsmen on August 31, and the Antigua &
Barbuda Falcons on September 2.
They round off their preliminary fixtures with away
matches against the Barbados Royals on
September 5 and the Guyana Amazon Warriors on
September 11.
The playoffs begin in Barbados on September 13,
with the final scheduled for September 20 at
Kensington Oval.
CPL officials say the expanded 2026 season will
also feature matches in St Vincent & the Grenadines
for the first time, while Barbados will host the finals
week in a major milestone for the tournament.
“With an expanded tournament in 2026, we are
delighted to be bringing CPL cricket to St Vincent &
the Grenadines for the first time. We are equally
excited about hosting finals week in Barbados,
where we have ambitious plans to deliver the
biggest and most memorable finale in the
tournament’s 14-year history. Each year, our goal is
to raise the bar, and I am more confident than ever
that CPL 2026 will be our best season yet," said
CPL CEO Pete Russell.
