WINDIES OVERCOME SCOTLAND SCARE
The Scotland ladies’ team, gave the Windies women a bit of a scare, as the exciting women’s T-20 world cup action continued on Thursday 18 th June. Batting first, the Windies women got off to slow start, but finished at a whirl wind pace, complements of a cameo from the bat of the experienced Stefanie Taylor, to get to 153 in their allotted 20 overs. Even then, they were not safe, as Darcey Carter’s half century, threatened to take the game away.
However, at the back end of the innings, Aaliyah Alleyne came to the party, with a decisive spell of bowling, that took the wind out of the sails of the Scotland ladies.
