CCTA 47 TO SPOTLIGHT STREAMING AND CARIBBEAN CREATORS

St. Kitts & Nevis: The Caribbean Cable Telecommunications Association (CCTA) will expand the focus of its 47th Annual Conference to include streaming, FAST platforms, and the future of content distribution, creating new opportunities for content creators, media professionals, and telecommunications providers across St. Kitts & Nevis and the wider Caribbean.

Taking place from May 24-26, 2026, and hosted in collaboration with the Ministry of Small Business, Entrepreneurship, Sports and the Creative Economy, the conference will bring together regional operators, global content executives, producers, and technology partners to explore how Caribbean content can compete and thrive in the evolving digital media landscape.

"As we continue to build a vibrant Creative Economy, partnerships like this with CCTA are critical. This conference and its new fellowship initiative highlight the intersection of technology, culture, and entrepreneurship—areas where the Caribbean is uniquely positioned to lead."

THE HONORABLE SAMAL DUGGINS MINISTER OF SMALL BUSINESS, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, SPORTS AND THE CREATIVE ECONOMY

This year's conference is designed to help local and regional content providers better understand:

  • How streaming and FAST platforms are creating new distribution opportunities

  • How Caribbean stories can reach wider global audiences

  • Emerging trends in content licensing, monetization, and audience engagement

  • Opportunities for partnerships with international media and technology companies

  • Featured speakers and industry representatives will provide insights into content acquisition, production, and distribution, offering valuable exposure for Caribbean creatives and media entrepreneurs.

A major highlight of the conference is the launch of the "30 Rising Stars" Emerging Media Fellowship, which will support young talent from St. Kitts & Nevis and across the Caribbean through mentorship, industry exposure, and direct engagement with media and telecommunications leaders.

"This year's conference is about creating real opportunities for Caribbean talent and helping our region position itself within the global content economy."

As the media industry continues to evolve, CCTA 47 aims to equip Caribbean stakeholders with the knowledge, connections, and strategies needed to grow.
