POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE IN OTTLEY’S VILLAGE

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a homicide

that occurred in Ottley’s Village, St. Kitts, on the morning of April 18th, 2026, between

7:30 AM and 8 AM. Preliminary investigations indicate that Jerod Robert Stapleton, also known as “Jay Bay,” of Ottley’s Village, had left his residence shortly before 8 AM and travelled to his

farm. Upon arrival at the farm, he was accosted by one or more armed assailants, who

discharged firearms at his vehicle. Mr Stapleton sustained multiple gunshot wounds to

the head and upper body and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene, and several items of evidential value were

collected. Updates will be appropriately issued as they become available. The RSCNPF is appealing to anyone with information that may assist in this

investigation to contact the nearest Police station or report anonymously via Crime

Stoppers at 707. The RSCNPF expresses sincere condolences to all who this tragic incident has impacted.
