REGIWELL FRANCIS SEEKS APOLOGY OVER GOVERNMENT STATEMENTS

The owner of St. Kitts Marine Works, Regiwell Francis, is demanding a public apology and compensation over statements made by Minister of Sustainable Development Dr. Joyelle Clarke and the Permanent Secretary during the August 5 edition of In Focus.

Francis points to a February 23, 2026 letter from the Permanent Secretary rescinding the land sale agreement, which he says acknowledges a 50-thousand-dollar payment made toward the purchase of the property and states it would instead be applied toward rent under a proposed lease.
