SOLARISE AND DRIVE PUSH SOLAR ADOPTION AND USE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Two energy-oriented programs launched in St. Kitts, April 30, 2026, introduced new pillars to the Government’s energy sustainability outlook, when SOLARISE and DRIVE were launched.

 SOLARISE is the acronym for Solar Integration for Sustainable Energy that provides a framework for residential and commercial consumers to install electricity generating systems using solar energy conversion. It also enables consumers, following an approved application, to gain credit by putting excess electricity generated on their property onto the SKELEC operating electricity grid.
